Our client is about to embark on an exciting period of transformation, bringing more and more capabilities in house, including their risk, compliance, governance and data security. Although a financial services house, our client actively welcomes candidates applying from a public/third sector background, and a variety of other sectors. They additionally are happy to consider a Data Protection Analyst who is looking for a ‘step up’ and promotion, or alternatively an experienced Data Protection Manager who wants more of a voice, more project work, and be part of a growing firm.  The Data Protection Senior Analyst/Manager will oversee the data protection operations of the organisation and naturally have a focus on DSARs, so a robust knowledge of data protection laws and best practices is required.  Responsibilities of the Data Protection Senior Analyst/Manager:  - Manage the lifecycle of Rights Requests- Develop and implement procedures whilst educating colleagues on protection procedures to ensure compliance with GDPR- Support the business with data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and audits- Support the business to deliver training to educate colleagues on data protection- Support the response to data breaches and other related incidents  Background of the Data Protection Senior Analyst/Manager:  - Direct hands on experience of data protection is essential, DSAR handling experience also essential- Robust knowledge of GDPR and other related legislations- Governance focused mindset- Happy to work in Newcastle office 2/3 days per week, each week  Please note we receive applications from candidates all over the UK.
