They are looking to recruit an IT Service Technician to provide first-line support. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly IT team based in Newcastle upon Tyne. The role is ideal for individuals looking to advance their IT support career in a diverse, hands-on position with a global leader in the industry.

Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware and software issues, and providing on-site and remote support to employees and customers. You will assist the UK Head of IT and international colleagues as needed, helping to deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor company computers, phones, and accessories to minimize disruptions and downtime.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a first-level IT helpdesk role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of IT technologies, including laptops, desktops, networking, backups, printers, and some server knowledge.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driving license due to client operating in multiple site across Newcastle
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (grade C or above).

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in a fast-paced office environment.
  • MS SharePoint site design.
  • Proficiency with MS Teams and MS Excel, including Power Query.
  • Familiarity with VMware server and client with Horizon View.
  • Experience with SCCM for building computers.
  • Knowledge of software packages, installation, and licensing.

Additional Information:

  • Full-time, permanent role (37.5 hours per week).
