A longstanding and successful House Building client of ours is looking to add an experienced Engineer to their Technical team due to their ongoing success in the New Year. This Engineer will play a vital role in ensuring the technical integrity and quality of a number of developments, providing engineering expertise and support throughout the construction process.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Design and Review:

* Review and approve engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with building regulations, codes, and best practices.
* Provide technical advice and guidance to the construction team on engineering matters.
* Assist in the development of engineering solutions to address design challenges and site issues.

  • Site Supervision and Inspection:

* Inspect construction works to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
* Identify and address any technical deficiencies or potential risks.
* Monitor and oversee the implementation of engineering solutions.

  • Quality Control:

* Ensure the quality and workmanship of all engineering works meet the required standards.
* Implement quality control procedures and conduct inspections.

  • Problem Solving:

* Identify and troubleshoot engineering problems that arise during construction.
* Develop and implement solutions to resolve technical issues.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

* Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation related to engineering aspects of projects.
* Maintain accurate records of engineering works and inspections.

  • Collaboration:

* Collaborate effectively with project managers, site managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
* Communicate technical information clearly and concisely.

Key Requirements:

* A degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
* Experience working as an Engineer within the construction industry, preferably with a house builder.
* Strong understanding of building regulations, codes, and best practices.
* Experience in site supervision and inspection.
* Proficient in AutoCAD or other relevant engineering software.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
