R&D Engineer

One of our global clients is seeking an R & D Engineer to assist with the design and testing of existing and new range of products. In this role, you will be working closely with the R&D team to create functional design concepts, test existing designs, and take active part in the implementation of development projects. You may also be spearheading the redesign of existing products.

To ensure success, you should have exceptional mathematical skills, a talent for design, and experience with team management. Top R&D engineers use their technical design skills to create functional and attractive products that are cost-effective and user-friendly. I'm looking for exceptional candidates that have a passion for electronics/mechatronics and want to turn a hobby into a career. The role offers global travel fully expensed.

YOU MUST HAVE RIGHTS TO WORK IN THE UK

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with R&D team to discuss product ideas.
  • Propose and implement ways of product materialization.
  • Conducting market research and evaluating similar products and their functions.
  • Collaborating with the manufacturing department and the rest of the R&D team on product feasibility.
  • Redesigning existing products to enhance functionality or reduce costs.
  • Presenting product designs to management and stakeholders.
  • Testing prototype products for functionality, ease-of-use, and longevity.
  • Resolving product issues.

Essential Requirements

  • Masters / Bachelor's degree in engineering, or relevant field.
  • Knowledge of: Digital Signal Processing, Analog and digital electronics.
  • UK Driving Licence
  • Knowledge of embedded electronics
  • Knowledge of embedded programming
  • Knowledge of PCB design


The Person

  • Comfortable communicating with stakeholders internal/external
  • Ability to convey technical information with passion to a lay person
  • Keen hobbyist of electronics/mechanics with ongoing personal projects
