Joinery / Furniture Designer IR35 Status: OutHourly Rate - Circa £30 DOE Contract Term - 4 months +Location - Hybrid, Tyne & WearOur client is a well-established manufacturer of beautiful bespoke furniture for the commercial and residential sectors.With their ongoing successes and a forever growing order book, they're looking for a SolidWorks Furniture Designer to join them on an initial 4-month contract but could be extended to 12 months. You will be a key member of their design team primarily using SolidWorks to create the joinery 3D models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings of fitted furniture and cabinetry.This is a hybrid role whereby you will need to attend their offices in Tyne and Wear at least twice per week.Those with skills in similar CAD packages such as Inventor, Solid Edge, Creo, Fusion360, Onshape are welcome to apply if you have the furniture / joinery design background.Responsibilities, but are not limited to

  • Working closely with the Design Team and Production Team
  • Designing fitted furniture and cabinetry
  • Taking initial concept design through to manufacture and installation

Experiences required

  • Competent in SolidWorks. Those with Inventor, Creo, Solid Edge, Onshape or Fusion360 are welcome to apply providing you have the furniture design background
  • Knowledge in SWOOD would be an advantage
  • Experience designing bespoke furniture & joinery is essential
  • Some experience in SolidWorks Visualise would be an advantage but not essential
  • Ideally those who can provide their own SolidWorks license and workstation
