- To undertake analysis of official datasets and other relevant reports and data to inform the development and delivery of key strategic documents, including the Corporate Plan and Local Growth Plan.Â
- To work with colleagues to identify additional sources of data, including commercial and innovative datasets to help the organisation and its partners to better understand the North East region
- Present complex analysis and outputs in a clear, accessible manner to a range of audiences including writing reports, online summaries, briefings and delivering presentations.
- To develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal colleagues and external partners at all levels to facilitate information sharing and collaboration
- A degree or equivalent in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics or related field.Â
- Demonstrable experience at working nationally, regionally, and locally in a similar role.
- Demonstrable working in an analytical role to inform policy development and decision making.
- Experience of analysing, interpreting and presenting complex data sets, analysis and research to a wide range of audiences.
- Work experience which shows that you can succeed and develop within the role.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques such as Excel, SQL, R, Python, Power BI or similar.
- Strong understanding of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques
- Strong analytic and problem solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral including the ability to present information in an easily understood, accessible format
