Back to searchLand Manager - Onshore Renewable Energy
Northern England Office - Hybrid Working System
Salary DOE - Up to between 55,000 - 65,000
Piper Maddox are representing a renewable energy developer who we supported throughout 2024 and are delighted to continue working with as we kick off the new year. It is safe to say that 2024 was a hugely successful year for this business both in terms of projects and in terms of their team growth. With this role, they show no signs of slowing down!
Our client has been a fixture in the UK renewable energy market for over 20 years, and in that time, they have built a reputation built on going about projects the "right way" when it comes to the stakeholders involved in their project development. Their focus is on the development and construction of utility scale Onshore Wind and Solar Energy assets.
A recent capital injection of funding has taken their project portfolio to new heights with their current approved pipeline sitting at over 2GW. This investment has not come with the usual changes in structure that come with corporate takeovers, with our client maintaining the leadership and culture that made them a success in the first place.
They are looking to add a Land Manager to their existing Land team to help secure the first stage of their greenfield origination plans. Your role would surround assessing potential sites for their feasibility, managing the landowner relationships throughout the development lifecycle, and taking land packages through the commercial negotiation process for acquisition.
Crucial experience for this role includes:
* Prior experience working in the renewable energy sector, be that in another developer environment, or coming from a consultancy firm focusing on renewables.
* Being comfortable and confident engaging in the rural and agricultural settings commonly associated with land packages with high acreage.
* Experience in handling commercial points in the land space, such as, Heads of Terms, Option to Lease Agreements, Easements, and Wayleaves.
You would be joining up with a highly collaborative and friendly team who all pride themselves on delivering quality work. You can also rest assured that your projects will be kept in-house throughout their lifecycle so you can see them all the way from inception through to completion. For example, one of their largest wind farms officially became operational and energized in the last couple of months alone!
This would be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced land manager to join one of the most exciting companies in the space, with the clear progression pathway up to at Senior Land Manager position with the team set on further expansion as the year goes on.
