Zenith People are working with our client who are currently recruiting for a Quality Manager to build and develop their current team of Quality Assurance Professionals.

Duties & Responsibilities

Pre SOP

  • Project Quality activity with local and teams in and outside of the UK
  • Managing quality activities from project concept through to series production

Post SOP

  • Ensure conformance to requirements from goods in to shipped product.
  • Lead the PQE and IPQC teams

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Lead new project quality assurance activities following customer specific programs using APQP approach
  • Achieve agreed KPI’s and Targets
  • Co-ordinate and cascade new product documentation that meets corporate and local standards
  • Project planning and execution ensuring specific tasks within cross functional teams are completed on schedule.
  • Adapting to any changes in plans or circumstances
  • Overseas work to support new model programs
  • Extensive experience in new project planning role
  • Development of the management systems related to the role.
  • Lead PQE and IPQC quality assurance teams
  • Ensure robust containment and corrective actions to process concerns
  • Highlight trends from inspection activities and manage continual improvements.
  • Develop staff at all QA levels

Skills, Experience and Requirements:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels
  • Coach, Mentor and develop the QA members in the team
  • Staff management that includes hiring, appraisals, fact files and disciplinary processes as required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - reporting throughout the business at all levels
  • Project Quality experience - risk assessments/concept reviews/Lessons Learned/FMEA
  • Budget management
  • Previous experience setting up a team/department is required
  • Full driving license and ability to travel at short notice (including overseas).

Qualifications:

Degree level in an appropriate technical subject or similar experience
