A Pastoral Mentor is needed for a secondary school in the Newcastle upon Tyne area. This full time role is to start on 28th May 2025 and will be ongoing for until the end of the academic year in July 2025. This role is to support with Pastoral Care in an Alternative Provision within a mainstream school. 

This lovely school is mixed sex and has supportive and friendly staff and managers.

The ideal Pastoral Mentor candidate would:

  • Have a passion for supporting pupils with pastoral care
  • Have excellent subject knowledge
  • Be able to organise themselves
  • Be able to engage with children in a proactive way
  • Have some experience of working in a similar role within Alternative Provisions

In addition, you must:

• Provide two referees we can contact

• Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one

Please note that the rate of pay will be dependent on the qualifications achieved and the level of experience that you have to date.
