They are now looking to recruit an Internal Sales Administrator to support the business on a permanent basis. You will be joining a great North-East people focused organisation with a strong history, a fantastic leadership team who have a clear forward-thinking vision, and the role offers a secure positive future.

The Job you’ll do

  • Input orders to the ERP system in a timely manner
  • Dealing with customer emails and calls facilitating sales order processing
  • Resolve customer and representative issues with stuck orders
  • Ensure that purchase orders received are correct and match any quotation sent
  • Handling inbound customer and representative sales calls
  • Liaise with customers and the finance department to obtain required missing information to process orders
  • Basic customer complaint administration
  • Order inbox triage
  • New customer set up
  • Use of the Part Configurator
  • Liaise across internal departments to ensure customers’ needs are met
  • Support the external sales function
  • Support the wider team functions and carry out other tasks where required
  • Improve processes to increase operational excellence within the Technical Sales arena.
  • Act as liaison between customers and other departments, ensuring accurate and timely relay of information to achieve and maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction

About You

  • Previous internal sales or a customer focused role within manufacturing or engineering is essential.
  • Experience working with an ERP system.
  • Positive and enthusiastic with effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and projects
  • Appetite for continuous learning/improvement
  • Clear, articulate communication skills both oral and written, including telephone manner
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Team player who can work cross-functionally and at different levels across the organisation
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service to all stakeholders
  • Attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Experience of working with IT systems
  • Experience of customer focused activities
