To continue the company's rapid growth, our client is seeking a knowledgeable Water Treatment Business Development Manager to oversee new and existing client accounts. You will be handling regular negotiations with clients to upsell and establish new contracts as well as discussing performance directly with company directors to ensure a thorough approach. The role will involve meeting clients on site to discuss contractual needs and submit competitive quotations and bids in order to secure new business. They are offering excellent salaries and benefits, which include: commission schemes and bonuses.

Our client is seeking someone local to: Newcastle-upon-Tyne, South Shields, Gateshead, Whitely Bay, Blyth, Prudhoe, Consett, Hexham, Houghton le Spring, Seaham, Durham, Spennymoor, Hartlepool, Bishop Auckland, Newton Aycliffe, Barnard Castle, Kirkby Stephen, Darlington, Middlesborough, Redcar, Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Staithes, Yarm, Richmond, York, Ripon, Northallerton, Helmsley.

Experience / Qualifications:
- Proven track record working as a Water Treatment Business Development Manager within a well-established organisation
- Strong industry technical knowledge and experience, such as: ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines
- Excellent written and IT skills
- Will have in-depth knowledge of technical water systems, including: cooling towers, steam boilers and closed systems
- Good interpersonal skills and comfortable liaising with clients on a regular basis
- Hands-on water treatment experience would be beneficial
- Adaptable and flexible attitude

The Role:
- As a Water Treatment Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for winning new contracts for the company through various means
- Actively making contact with potential clients to discuss their requirements and negotiate deals
- Preparing detailed quotations and bids to win further business
- Following up on enquiries and quotations to try finalise contracts with clients
- Upselling of further company services to an existing portfolio of clients
- Meeting with clients on site to recommend services and answer technical queries
- Handling logistical and technical issues to ensure projects run smoothly
- Regularly meeting with directors to discuss performance and identify areas for improvement
- Travelling as per client requirements
- Completing detailed written sales reports for internal records
