Manufacturing Production Manager
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: 60,000 per annum

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Production Manager to oversee production operations with a focus on manufacturing, welding, and assembly processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a background in welding and assembly operations, and a proven ability to drive productivity improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all manufacturing operations
  • Lead welding and assembly teams
  • Monitor production schedules and workflow
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Work with engineering, quality, and procurement teams
  • Manage and develop production staff
  • Control inventory levels
  • Analyse KPIs and performance metrics

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Production Manager in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of metal fabrication, welding processes, and assembly techniques
  • Proven experience in leading teams, managing production schedules, and driving improvements.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience in team development.
  • Familiarity with health & safety regulations and quality control standards.
