Mechanical Engineer - Contract Position in Newcastle Upon Tyne Contract 6 Months

Are you a Mechanical Engineer with specialised experience in subsea environments, seeking your next challenge? We have an exciting contract opportunity available for a skilled professional to join our client's innovative team. This role is based out of the vibrant city of Newcastle Upon Tyne and revolves around cutting-edge Subsea Trencher projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing various components and systems for Subsea Trenchers using Autodesk 3D Inventor software.
  • Analysing structural integrity through FEA (Finite Element Analysis) utilising Ansys tools.
  • Focusing on developing solutions related to ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicles).

Necessary Skills & Experience:We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Demonstrable expertise with Autodesk's AutoCAD or similar CAD software: A strong grasp here will ensure high precision in design schematics crucially needed while working on intricate underwater equipment like Subsea Trenchers.
  • In-depth understanding of Finite Element Analysis via Ansys: Critical skill as it allows predicting how product reacts under real-world forces, vibration, heat, fluid flow etc., ensuring robustness and safety standards meet industry norms.
  • Prior exposure to Remotely operated vehicles (ROVs): Knowledge from previous roles involving these technologies enhances capability handling advanced marine operations effectively.
