A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work for my client who is the world’s industry leader in providing engineering solutions, supplying their specialist products across almost every industry. Due to continued expansion, they have an opening for a Mechanical Engineer (Technical Specialist) to join their team. This is a home-based role supporting the North/Scotland division. The successful Mechanical Engineer (Technical Specialist) will be based from home and will travel to customer sites in the North East and Scotland regions and will provide technical support to customers recommending solutions to their machinery and engineering issues. Candidates living in or close to the following locations are of particular interest: Newcastle, Hexham, Jedburgh, Berwick-upon-Tweed.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ex-military engineer to join a global organisation who pride themselves on customer product quality by optimising overall asset responsibility. Mechanical Engineer (Technical Specialist) Requirements:

  • Qualified mechanical engineer with a minimum of level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline.
  • Excellent mechanical engineering knowledge.
  • Experience of working with a diverse range of engineering equipment.
  • Good understanding of lubrication systems.
  • Positive can-do attitude.
  • Self motivated with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Happy to travel and willing to stay away from home occasionally overnight.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with customers at all levels.
  • IT literate.
  • Hold full UK driving licence.
