The primary duties of the role is to service, repair and maintain plant and machines within the company, in a safe and efficient manner to minimise delays in production and avoid unsafe plant conditions.

Hours of work would be Monday - Thursday 07.00am-4.45pm.Duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician are:

  • Preventative Maintenance: maintain the preventative maintenance plan with weekly scheduled and targeted checks
  • Repair and maintenance: perform a variety of all routine maintenance, fault finding and repair work on plant equipment including (but not limited to) pumps, fans, gear boxes, shafts, water lines, valves, belts, motors, electrical panels, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electronic control systems
  • Conduct daily maintenance checks on allocated machinery and report major maintenance issues
  • Maintain regular and timely communication with Cell Leaders and Manufacturing Manager in respect to all daily production activities
  • Planning: carry out activity according to production plan, organise and prioritise routine jobs liaising with production planner and cell leaders
  • Stock Control: ensure adequate supplies are carried for routine work and for common identified failure modes
  • PAT Testing/ in service inspection and testing of electrical equipment, maintaining records and schedule
  • Install and commission plant and machinery
  • Carry out machine upgrades and development in conjunction with the Production Department
  • Record keeping: ensure that breakdown logs are kept and are accurate for data analysis purposes
Requirements:
  • Time Served Maintenance Technician
  • At least 2 years experience
  • 18th Edition
  • Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance experience
