My client is a leading National M&E contractor who is looking for a Technical Manager with a mechanical bias to join their talented team based out of their North East office. You will focus on high profile, technically complex mechanical and electrical projects across multiple sectors.
My client is looking for someone with technical/ mechanical excellence from design phases through to commissioning phases who can maintain professional relationships across different teams and influence the outcomes of project designs.

This role will see you working alongside pre-construction and project teams as the sole Design Engineer. There will be a lot of front-end work, value engineering, work winning, appointment of external M&E design consultants, design management of the consultants and ensuring everything is as robust as possible.
As the Technical Manager you will be:
- Accountable for Technical performance of allocated bids & Projects.
- Act as a technical conduitacross the business.
- Responsible for the management of MEP & BIM design on allocated projects.
- Accountability for technical assessment, coaching and development of Preconstruction Leaders, Design Project Managers & Project Managers & Engineers.
- Managing design risk & opportunities with a robust and transparent approach.
