We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. You will be responsible for assessing patients, developing care plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions. Your leadership and communication skills will be essential in fostering a supportive environment for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patientsā€™ mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Monitor patientsā€™ progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide emotional support and counselling to patients and their families.
  • Administer medications and monitor their effects on patients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using IT systems.
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing insights on patient care and treatment strategies.
  • Educate patients about their conditions and promote self-management strategies.

Skills

  • Strong leadership abilities to guide and motivate team members effectively.
  • Proficient in developing comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Competent IT skills for maintaining patient records and utilising electronic health systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate clear interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
