HR Business PartnerPermanentNewcastle – 3 days a week in officeCompetitive salary + bonusNetwork HR have been retained on a new engagement to appoint a newly scoped People Business Partner for a Financial Services organisation based in Newcastle. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the People Business Partner will provide strategic and operational support to senior leaders across the business, providing insight, support, and influencing direction for all HR matters. The People Business Partner will collaborate with specialist colleagues in the team to deliver client focused, leading edge solutions into the business to drive growth and success. The successful People Business Partner will lead the execution of the people strategy, in assigned business areas, in accordance with the company’s aims and objectives. Other responsibilities will include:
  • Drive the development of a high-performance culture within assigned business areas.
  • Deliver the organisations people priorities within assigned business areas.
  • Oversee and nurture a superb employee experience across the full employee life cycle.
  • Involvement in recruitment and selection within assigned business areas, including ensuring that the company’s approach is robust, legally compliant, and maintains a strong brand in the marketplace.
  • Operationalises holistic, proactive, and commercial learning and development approaches into the business that ensure compliance, continued professional development, and outstanding capability across the firm. In partnership with other specialists.
  • Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders.
  • Manages and mitigate people risk across the business.
  • Partners with the People Operations and Payroll teams to provide a seamless employee experience across all phases of the employee life cycle.
  • Oversee implementation of frameworks and support leaders to lead their teams well within assigned business areas.
  • Provide outstanding employee relations advice to proactively and reactively manage employee relations issues promptly and comprehensively. Lead response to tribunal claims as required in assigned business areas.
  • Inputs into remuneration structures and compensation decisions, ensuring they are compliant and drive high performance and outstanding client outcomes.
  • Advise on and support restructures, mergers and acquisitions, or business disposals.
  • Oversee the completion of the employee survey and ensure robust action planning across assigned business units and monitor action plan delivery.
  • Contribute to the organisation’s approach to maintaining SMCR as required.
The successful candidate will have a background in the HR generalist space and will have excellent experience of supporting a business scaling growth. You will be able to evidence an excellent knowledge of HR best practice, and the importance of HR value add in a business. What else will you need:
  • Experience of working in a centre of excellence would be advantageous although not mandatory
  • Excellent experience of managing complex ER casework
  • Solid generalist background operating as a true business partner
  • Experience of coaching and engaging leaders through change.
  • Knowledge of cyclical cycles for year-end, bonus rounds etc.
