About the Role:
Randstad is seeking a skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join the team in South Tyneside. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support individuals to achieve independence, improve their quality of life,and promote well-being through tailored therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical, mental, and emotional needs to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide targeted therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, independence, and functional skills.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, physiotherapists, and health professionals, to deliver holistic care.
- Assess clients' living or working environments, recommending equipment, adaptations, or assistive technology as needed.
- Advocate for clients' needs and rights, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
- Stay informed on the latest practices, research, and legislation in occupational therapy to deliver high-quality services.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably within a social care, hospital, or community setting.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act and disability rights.
