About the Role:
As a Payroll Assistant, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team of five, delivering outsourced payroll services to our client's valued clients. Your role will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately processing payroll data, ensuring all changes-temporary and permanent-are handled meticulously.
- Generating payroll reports and ensuring timely submissions to meet client deadlines.
- Serving as the first point of contact for payroll queries via phone and email.
- Managing pension administration and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Liaising directly with HMRC on payroll-related matters to maintain transparency and accuracy.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:
- A solid understanding of payroll processes with previous experience in a payroll role.
- Experience in an accountancy practise or the healthcare sector is desirable.
- Familiarity with IRIS (STAR) Payroll Professional is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel and Outlook to streamline payroll tasks effectively.
- Have a keen eye for detail and take a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Enjoy working in a structured, process-driven role that demands accuracy and efficiency.
- Are adaptable and eager to learn, keeping up-to-date with payroll regulations and best practises.
