The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe day to day running of an allocated machine and to ensure that all manufacturing targets are achieved. The Role you will be doing;

  • Ensure all plasma cutting is carried out on time.
  • Ensure all profiles are of good quality to the internal / external customer.
  • To support and supply both internal and external customer base.
  • Using both reactive and proactive approach.
  • To do this with minimal cost in time, materials and waste.
  • Implement and sustain 5S standards, with a target of 12+.
  • Achieve efficiency levels to 95% target.
  • Carry out all duties with due diligence.
  • Carry out all duties within H&S guidelines.
  • Help and support trainees and new starters.
  • Other duties as requested

About you;

  • Qualified Modern Apprentice (or equivalent) in an Engineering related discipline.
  • At least four years profiling experience setting and operating plasma machines.
  • Experience of working to demanding tolerances.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Ability to use a variety of measuring equipment (both metric and imperial)
  • Ability to work to standard operating procedures and ensure full product traceability
  • Experience setting and operating Water Jet machines (Desirable)
  • Able to create program form DXF using Alpha Cam (Desirable)
  • Able to safely operate a forklift truck (Desirable)
