Location: Newcastle
Hourly Rate: 15.85 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM - 4:45 PM

GI Group Newcastle is recruiting a Plasma Operator for our client based in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable manufacturing company, where you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plasma cutting machines.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate plasma cutting machinery to meet production deadlines.
Ensure the quality of all profiles produced for both internal and external customers.
Support both internal and external customer requirements.
Minimise waste, time, and material costs through both proactive and reactive approaches.
Maintain 5S standards, targeting 12+ for cleanliness and organisation.
Achieve efficiency levels of up to 95%.
Adhere to all Health & Safety guidelines in your daily tasks.
Support the training and development of new starters and trainees.
Assist with other duties as required.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in a similar plasma cutting or manufacturing role is desirable.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
Ability to work to deadlines and achieve production targets.
Proactive and efficient approach to tasks.
Excellent team player and communicator.
