Our client, a leading law firm in the heart of Newcastle, is looking to recruit a Compliance Officer to join their growing compliance team. The role would suit a Compliance Officer or Compliance Assistant, with upwards of 2 years' compliance experience gained either in a legal or professional services environment.

Working alongside the Head of Risk and Compliance, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing compliance support to a range of different teams within a full service law firm.
  • Following anti-money laundering procedures and dealing with ID checks
  • Dealing with the client onboarding process.
  • Reporting on risk and compliance issues.
  • Dealing with new instructions and file opening.
  • Obtaining required ID documentation from new clients.
  • Using a case management system; and other general compliance support responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Upwards of 1 years' experience as a compliance officer gained within a regulated legal or professional services environment.
