CompanyNigel Wright is delighted to be supporting a global manufacturing business in the recruitment of a global product manager.  The role is to be based from site near Newcastle upon Tyne, potential for 1 day / week working from home.RoleFantastic opportunity for an experienced Global Product Manager to join a highly successful team.  In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic management and development of a global product portfolio, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation, market expansion, and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute global product strategies to achieve business objectives, including defining and realising the portfolio strategy.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and trends.
  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, ensuring alignment with market needs and company goals.
  • Define product requirements, specifications, and roadmaps, including customer requirement specifications for new products.
  • Lead product development projects, including customer visits and customer process management.
  • Manage product launches and phase-outs, controlling new releases in SAP.
  • Execute product training and monitor product market performance.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and specify product-related communication and sales marketing requirements.
  • Support global markets with technical, commercial, and strategic assistance, including customer and regional visits.
  • Manage product content within the portal and create content for circular letters.
  • Attend regular global function reviews, such as team meetings and warranty returns meetings.
Experience
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager in a manufacturing environment, preferably within a global matrix organisation.
  • Strong understanding of global markets and product management best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and multicultural environment.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
