Our client is a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects in the marine sector. Operating as both a main contractor and part of a wider project team, they undertake a variety of civil engineering works across ports, harbours, coastal defences, and other marine infrastructure projects.
They are currently seekingan experienced and motivated Project Manager to oversee civil engineering projects in the marine sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage civil engineering projects within the marine sector, ensuring effective planning, execution, and completion.

Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company objectives.

Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

Manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies where necessary.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.

Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Foster strong relationships with clients and project partners to promote collaboration and business growth.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Project Manager in civil engineering, ideally within the marine sector.

Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, particularly in marine infrastructure projects such as port developments, coastal defences, and harbour works.

Relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and budget constraints.

Knowledge of construction contracts such as NEC and JCT.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
