Payroll Project Manager / 6 Month contract / Day Rate DOE (Outside IR35)

 

Xpertise are looking for an experienced payroll project manager to take full ownership of a critical ADP payroll recovery project. Sitting within the governance structure, you will be responsible for driving a structured recovery plan, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and seamless payroll operations.

This role requires someone with a strong track record in payroll project recovery, particularly with ADP payroll solutions. You will be expected to take charge, bring structure, and deliver results in a high-pressure environment.

Location: Hybrid – ad hoc days in head office (North UK)

 

Contract: Initial six-month contract with potential extension

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end recovery of a complex ADP payroll implementation
  • Establish strong governance, ensuring compliance and best practices
  • Identify key issues, risks, and mitigation strategies
  • Work closely with finance, HR, IT, and external vendors
  • Provide hands-on leadership, driving resolution of payroll challenges
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory and company policies
  • Deliver clear reporting and updates to senior stakeholders

  • Extensive experience in payroll project recovery, particularly with ADP payroll solutions
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks and risk management
  • Proven ability to take full ownership and drive change at pace
