The RoleThe buyer role is a full time, permanent position offering hybrid working.The key responsibilities of the buyer include:

Accurately raising purchase orders through system
Confidently liaising with suppliers building strong relationships
Building accurate set of cost data and price lists for chosen suppliers
Provide Order Fulfilment, Supplier Quotations, Tender/Bid Analysis, Supplier Relationship Management etc
Manage quote analysis, negotiation, supplier selection, orders placements and delivery requirement
Identifying opportunities for improvement including process and technology issues
Liaise with Production, Stores and Purchasing in determining appropriate production and stock levels

Experience in purchasing within a manufacturing environment
Good level of computer literacy with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
Proactive approach and ability to manage own workload
Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team
The ability to understand and apply commercial and financial principles, including cost v price, profit, budget control
