Overview of the Buying Assistant:

The purpose of this role is to assist the Buying team to help ensure that ingredients and blends are available on time, in full and to specification.

Buying Assistant Duties:

Provide support in monitoring and reporting on inventory levels and maintain accurate records

Support the purchasing of products to the required quality and specification standards (Help to construct meaningful feedback and help to drive continuous improvements).

Assist with the creation of blends for Manufacturing, ensuring quality, consistency and adherence to specifications

Promote brand integrity, product quality and authenticity, as well as strict adherence to product specifications

Accurately maintain all relevant records and documentation, producing requested reports

Help to conduct tastings and other organoleptic & physical property assessments

Collaborate other teams to ensure all materials and products meet the required standards

Assist with tasks required for innovation and development of new products

Adhere to all company policies, procedures and specifications, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards

Work with Sourcing Assurance team to help set specifications
