This is a contract role for an initial 4 months with the likelhood of seeing the project to completion(12 months) and the offer of permenant employment.

As a an estimator/QS you'll act as a trusted advisor on client projects, delivering strategic commercial advice and managing contract and commercial matters. Working as part of the project team on-site and in the office, you will collaborate closely with delivery teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met. This role requires regular site visits to actively engage in project delivery, problem-solving, and fostering strong relationships.
You'll play a key role in identifying creative solutions, driving process improvements, and working hands-on with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes. This is not just an office-based role but an opportunity to be at the heart of project delivery.

The Candidate:

Must have proven Technical Estimating background with a minimum of 2 years+ experience.
Professional adaptable attitude and willingness to learn, develop and take on new tasks as required.
Professional and extremely confident with a calming manner when dealing with telephone calls.
Be able to work well under pressure.
Must have excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills to enable all tasks to be completed in a timely and organised manner.
Excellent communication skills and able to work well as part of a team.
Good attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures and tasks through to completion.
Sound computer-based skills are essential which can be demonstrated from previous roles.

About You

Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Engineering (HNC/HND considered).
Full UK driving license and access to a car for business travel.
Strong understanding of NEC4 contracts and contract strategies, or similar forms.
Effective communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Ability and willingness to work collaboratively on-site with project teams to deliver success.
