Elvet Recruitment are currently assisting an extremely successful Construction company to find a Quantity Surveyor. Due to internal promotions, the rare opportunity has arisen for the right person to join this trusted company to assist with their commercial projects.

This opportunity is great for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to join an already established team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile cost and value reports and profit forecasts
  • Manage and control the cost of the project
  • Liaise with the client on the progress and development of the project whilst maintaining a professional relationship
  • Manage sub-contractors accounts and process subcontractor request for payment
  • Help ensure all expenditure aligns with commercial objectives and is reported accurately.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Has some experience as a Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor
  • Possess a high level of mathematical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn new computer systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills able to work within a wider team
  • Thorough understanding of Surveying and Estimating
  • Good understanding of strategic objectives and targeting financial return
  • a relevant degree to Quantity Surveying is desired
