NORTH EAST (Ref 679) PERMANENT

£34K - £40K DOE + 28 days holiday + bank holidays. Home based with occasional local travel. Must be North East based.

This isn’t just any Recruitment Advisor role, this is an opportunity to recruit, onboard and induct great talent into the business, while delivering a fantastic experience.

You will be responsible for providing a first-class proactive, customer focussed recruitment and people service.

Working in a small team and reporting to the People and Culture Manager, your role will take the lead on managing recruitment campaigns, onboarding and inducting new starters and continuously improving processes. You will ensure candidates receive a fantastic experience, you will manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring compliance to company policies, processes and relevant employment legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting hiring managers with recruitment including writing job descriptions, drafting adverts, advising on advertising methods, interview and assessment activities, arranging interviews and supporting in interviews.
  • Developing relationships with agencies, job centres and other recruitment partners to improve candidate attraction and ensure the most cost effective spend.
  • Placing jobs on to the ATS, Company website and relevant job boards and liaising with the marketing team to share jobs on social media platforms.
  • Processing applications and maintaining candidate records on the ATS and HRIS.
  • Onboarding and inducting of new colleagues to the business, managing the whole end-to-end process from offer to hire including: setting up new starters on the HRIS; ensuring all the offer paperwork is complete; liaising with IT; and regular check-ins with candidates to ensure a positive experience joining the business.
  • Ensuring all pre-employment checks are completed correctly and accurately e.g. right to work, DBS, pre-employment medical etc.
  • Delivering the People induction to new starters and arranging and hosting the Company Corporate induction
  • Ensuring D&I is embedded in all recruitment processes
  • Producing accurate and timely HR correspondence e.g. offer letters/contracts, internal changes, references, invites and outcome letters and correspondence.

Experience needed for this role:

  • Previous demonstrable experience working as a in-house recruiter, or a generalist HR role with a large recruitment element to the role.
  • Previous experience using a HR Information system/ ATS to manage recruitment and employee records
  • Previous experience managing recruitment campaigns from start to end - writing job adverts, supporting interviews, placing job ads and drafting offers and contracts
  • Experience partnering with managers to understand job roles and crafting role profiles, keeping managers updated on role progress
  • A can-do, positive, solutions-focussed approach
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong IT skills - Microsoft office (Outlook, excel, word, PowerPoint, teams)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and deal with multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
