Head of Retail - North (incl North of England, North Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland sites, c50), Field based, newly created role, £80k p.a. + many more benefits. Are you an inspirational retail leader who can play a pivotal role in driving the success and growth of our northern retail operations? Responsible for 6-8 direct reports and overseeing performance of all areas within your remit, driving sales, standards and customer service and people metrics. 

The successful candidate must be based within the 'North' of UK area and ideally centrally to the patch for ease of commute to all sites. (For example NW / NE / Yorks or similar areas).Jollyes is growing and experiencing great success, attracting awards, and receiving great customer reviews. We are adding some new roles into the Retail management team and have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced retail leader to head up our northern sites as our 'Head of Retail' (North).

The Role:  Head of Retail (North)

This new role will oversee all our retail operations in the North half of the UK (with a southern counterpart covering the South sites). With 6-8 direct reports, you'll be mentoring and developing your regional management team to achieve success across various KPI metrics within their respective areas - including sales, cost to serve labour model, customer service and people measures, encouraging a continuous improvement culture. 

A full job description is available on request, but to outline your key responsibilities as a ‘Head of Retail (North)’, you’ll be:

  • Driving and delivering accountability and ownership for customers across all regions, developing our colleagues to feel responsible for and competent in growing loyalty by creating outstanding experiences
  • Oversee the execution of new store openings and refits ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the required standards
  • Delivery of a consistent and integrated omnichannel customer experience that is seamless across all channels
  • Lead the area with robust commercial and operational principles, prioritising, planning and directing activities and action plans that deliver a high performance way of working and that meet the agreed financial, people, customer and operations objectives with diligent cost and resource planning
  • Ensure that succession, recruitment, training and ongoing development of colleagues is being delivered resulting in excellent colleague engagement and excellent customer outcomes
  • Develops, owns and communicates the short, medium and long term plans to the area to ensure all colleagues have a shared vision and purpose
  • Implements a consistent approach to performance through effective one to ones and insightful reviews
  • Develop a culture and capability that proactively and systematically identifies opportunities to develop and roll out enhanced operational processes to deliver better service for our customers with a consistent brand experience
  • Analyses and interprets information and statistics to identify opportunities to improve productivity and performance
  • Ensure the stores and regions comply with all company policies and procedures, completing regular site visits and effective communication.

  • P&L management with excellent numerical and analytical skills, able to translate data into insights and actions

  • Confident leadership style, comfortable with challenging the status quo
  • High degree of problem solving associated with operational challenges
  • Full UK driving licence to be able to drive between sites to carry out your role.
