Role Overview

The Mobile Mechanic is responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a fleet of cars and vans at our client's depots and on customer sites, ensuring compliance with legislative standards and company policies. This role also includes tyre management and maintaining fleet condition to high standards.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves conducting vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and regular maintenance tasks, including tune-ups, oil changes, tyre rotation, and replacements. The Mobile Mechanic must operate all equipment safely, uphold Health & Safety regulations, keep detailed service records, and communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and external contacts. Ongoing professional development to stay updated with industry standards is expected.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required

  • Qualifications: Valid UK driving licence, recognised Mobile Mechanic qualification (e.g., Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance), and a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with light commercial vehicles, diagnostic tools, and tyre equipment is advantageous, along with a solid understanding of the Health & Safety Act 1974.
