Reed Accountancy are delighted to be working with an amazing client in Newcastle in their search for an experienced Finance Assistant to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. The role will be based at my client's Newcastle city centre head office for 4 days and 1 remote day per week.

Working in a dynamic team, your duties will include:

•        Monthly inter-company reconciliation.

•        Forecasting and budgeting processes.

•        Preparation of monthly insurance schedules.

•        Assisting with year end Annual Report process.

•        Preparation of statutory accounts and completing reviews of these.

•        Involvement in ad-hoc finance projects, including documentation of processes and controls in the new finance system, and improving and streamlining processes.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

•        Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.

•        Experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements and statutory accounts.

•        Ability to work with multiple entities to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation for actuals, forecasts, and budgets.

•        Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software.

•        Understanding of insurance schedules, reconciliations, and intercompany recharges.

•        Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

•        Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and streamline processes.
