As a Finance Assistant you will be responsible for supporting with financial reporting, performing accruals and prepayments, and assisting in preparing month-end and management accounts.

My client are a well known public sector organisation with offices all around the UK. They work tirelessly to make a positive impact within local communities. They are looking for Finance Assistants to join their team in Newcastle.

Description

  • Handle day-to-day financial transactions such as invoicing, payments, and banking
  • Maintain and update financial records
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports
  • Coordinate with the Accounting & Finance team to ensure financial procedures are followed
  • Support the annual budgeting and auditing processes
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations
  • Contribute to the team's objectives in the public sector
  • Perform ad hoc financial tasks as required

Profile

A successful Finance Assistant should have:

  • Demonstable experience in a similar Finance role
  • Experience of preparing and analysing budgets
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Good organisational abilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
  • Experience using financial software

Job Offer

Full time role + Hybrid working + Ongoing for the next 6 months (with a view to then extend for a further 12 months) + £20-23 p/h + Weekly pay + ASAP start.
