Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) specialising in Mathematics and looking for an exciting teaching opportunity in Newcastle? Join a dynamic school where you can grow and make a difference in students' lives.

As an Early Career Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. You will have the chance to enhance your teaching skills, work with supportive colleagues, and foster a love for mathematics in young learners.

Responsibilities of the ECT Teacher Maths:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Support and monitor student progress, providing tailored feedback.
  • Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share resources.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a safe and focused learning space.
  • Contribute to the preparation of learning materials and activities.
    • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and engagement.

Requirements of the ECT Teacher Maths:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working toward it as an ECT.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Passionate about teaching and inspiring young minds.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
