Year 2 Teaching Assistantand After School Club Leader

Full time: 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

This is a long-term role for the right person.

Reed are delighted to be working alongside a fantastic primary school in Benwell. In partnership with the school, we seek to find a Teaching Assistant to work in Year 2 with some 1:1 support with a pupil with additional needs from 11am - 3pm and then leading the After School Club from 3pm - 5/6pm.To apply for this role, you must be a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant

The ideal Teaching Assistant for this role will:

- Provide general support in a Year 2 class with Phonics, Reading, Maths, Writing and foundation subjects

- Help children access learning materials by tapping into their interests- Support them with a sensory approach to some learning activities- Seek to deescalate any crisis moments through understanding triggers, using a nurture-based approach

- Lead the school's After School Club, suporting with homework and leading sports, crafts and other activities.- Build positive and empathetic relationships with the pupils.

This Teaching Assistant role is to start ASAP.
