An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) within North Tyneside. We are seeking a highly motivated and resilient individual to undertake the role of MASH Support Worker, contributing to the delivery of a high-quality safeguarding service for children, young people, and families.

About the RoleThe MASH Support Worker will assist in responding to referrals from professionals and the public who have concerns about the welfare of children and young people. The role involves close liaison with referrers, parents, carers, and professionals, gathering and analysing information to support timely and informed safeguarding decisions.

The successful candidate will:

  • Collate and analyse relevant safeguarding information to inform appropriate responses

  • Communicate complex information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Participate in risk analysis and decision-making processes

  • Promote early help, targeted support, and universal services

  • Record case information promptly and accurately using the case management system

  • Build and maintain constructive relationships with key safeguarding partners, including Police, Health, and Education services

About YouYou will possess:

  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proven ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities

  • Experience working with children, young people, and families
