About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students with on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- Implement personalised learning strategies for student that may be distant and hard to engage
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to create an inclusive classroom environment.
- Encourage independence, build confidence, and manage behaviour in a positive and supportive way.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD. We welcome applicants from outside of education with transferrable skills such as residential childcare workers or carers.
- Approaches challenges with patience and understanding
- Is enthusiastic and proactive in helping young learners succeed.
- Can build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Holds a valid DBS check (or is happy to obtain one).
