Role Responsibilities:

  • Care and Support: Provide person-centred care, support daily activities, and create a positive environment for children's well-being.
  • Safeguarding and Safety: Follow safeguarding policies and conduct safety checks.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records and communicate with team and external parties for coordinated care.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in meetings, training, and support team cohesion.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning and best practices in childcare.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • DBS on the update service for children and adults
  • Experience with specific conditions (e.g., Autism, SEN, SENMH).
  • 6 months experience working with children and young people in a residential or respite care setting.
  • Understanding of child development and the needs of children with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid UK Driving license

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent qualification.
