Senior Support Worker - Adults with Learning Disabilities
Location: Newburn, Newcastle Upon Tyne
Salary: £26,263 per annum (£13.65 per hour) + overtime
Hours: 37 hours per week, 7-day rota

The Role
As a Senior Support Worker, you will lead, support, and supervise a team dedicated to delivering high-quality care. You'll work closely with the people we support, their families, and healthcare professionals to foster a respectful, supportive environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a staff team.
  • Provide direct support to adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges.
  • Work with individuals who may have a history of substance misuse.
  • Focus on developing social and practical living skills.
  • Motivate staff to deliver exceptional care.

About You:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and drugs and alcohol issues.
  • Previous experience addressing substance misuse.
  • A Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
