Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health or behaviour.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Uphold the highest standards of patient care while respecting the privacy and dignity of each individual.
Skills
- Experience in care, assisted living, or home care settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of care practices and behaviour management strategies is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively as required by client needs.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and client needs while maintaining professionalism at all times.
It is essential that you hold a NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or CQC care Certificate.
