We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our dedicated Central FACT Team. In this role, you will play a vital role in protecting vulnerable children, supporting families, and promoting positive outcomes. You will carry a mixed caseload of children in a variety of circumstances (CIN/CP/LAC) and provide direct social work intervention to children, young people, and their families in the community.

- Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of children and families, identifying risks, vulnerabilities, and needs.
- Care Planning: Develop and implement individualised care plans to address the specific needs of children and families, promoting their well-being and creating positive outcomes.
- Direct Social Work Intervention: Provide direct support and guidance to children, young people, and their families in the community, offering practical and emotional support.
- Collaboration and Partnership: Work closely with other professionals, including health visitors, school staff, and other agencies, to ensure a coordinated response to families needs.
- Advocacy and Case Management: Champion the needs of families, ensuring they have access to appropriate services and support, and their voices are heard.
- Court Work: Prepare reports and attend court hearings related to child protection matters, advocating for the best interests of children.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker: Must hold a relevant Social Work qualification (e.g. DipSW, BSc, MA) and be registered with Social Care England.
- Experience in Child Protection: Proven experience working with children and families in a safeguarding context.
- Strong Assessment and Planning Skills: Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments, identify risks, and develop effective care plans.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport with families and other professionals, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Commitment to Child-Centred Practice: A passion for safeguarding children and a dedication to ensuring their safety and well-being.
