Are you passionate about providing early intervention and support to families to keep children safe and thriving?We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Children Social Worker to join our dedicated Safe and Support Team. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting families to overcome difficulties, build resilience, and create a safe and nurturing environment for their children.Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments: Carry out thorough assessments of families facing challenges, including parental capacity, child protection concerns, and family needs.
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans: Develop and implement individualised care plans to address the specific needs of families, promoting their well-being and creating positive outcomes for children.
  • Provide direct support and guidance: Offer direct support and guidance to families, including parenting support, family therapy, and linking them to relevant community resources.
  • Advocate for families needs: Champion the needs of families, ensuring they have access to appropriate services and support, and their voices are heard.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency partners: Work closely with other professionals, including health visitors, school staff, and other agencies, to ensure a coordinated response to families needs.
  • Contribute to service development: Engage in ongoing professional development and actively participate in initiatives to enhance the team's knowledge and practice in early intervention and family support.

Essential Requirements:

  • Must hold a relevant Social Work qualification (e.g. DipSW, BSc, MA) and be registered with Social Care England.
  • Proven experience working with children and families in a safeguarding context.
  • Ability to build rapport with families and other professionals, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ability to assess complex information, identify risks, and recommend appropriate actions.
  • A passion for safeguarding children and a dedication to ensuring their safety and well-being.
