About Us:Randstad is excited to partner with South Tyneside's Assessment Team to recruit dedicated and skilled social workers. Our team is the first point of contact for individuals and families in need, providing essential support and conducting comprehensive assessments.

Job Description:

Are you a compassionate and experienced social worker. We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join the Assessment Team in North Tyneside.In this role, you will be responsible for conducting initial assessments, providing urgent support, and referring individuals and families to appropriate services.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough initial assessments of individuals and families to identify needs, risks, and strengths.
  • Providing immediate support and intervention to address urgent needs and stabilize situations.
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, external agencies, and community organizations to coordinate comprehensive care and support.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in line with legal and professional standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience working in a social care setting, preferably with initial assessments and urgent support.
  • Strong assessment, planning, and intervention skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with individuals and families..
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social care and safeguarding.
