Social Worker - Safeguarding Adults Team

Join our dynamic Safeguarding Adults Team where you'll make a real difference in the lives of at-risk individuals. Whether you're an experienced professional or a Newly Qualified Social Worker (NQSW), this role offers you the opportunity to develop your skills in adult safeguarding and work in a supportive environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and manage the safeguarding needs of vulnerable adults, ensuring their safety and well being are protected.
  • Undertake safeguarding enquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014, and work with individuals, families, and partner agencies to reduce risk and improve outcomes.
  • Develop and implement care and support plans, ensuring the needs of vulnerable adults are met in a person-centred way.
  • Work collaboratively with health, housing, the police, and other agencies to ensure a joined-up approach to safeguarding.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in line with statutory and departmental requirements.
  • Attend case conferences and contribute to multi-agency discussions, ensuring the best interests of the adult are always prioritised.


Requirements:

  • Recognised Social Work qualification (e.g. BA, MA in Social Work).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practices, including the Care Act 2014.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work empathetically with vulnerable adults and their families.
  • Ability to manage caseloads, prioritise tasks, and work both independently and as part of a team.
