About the Role:We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our clients dynamic team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a proven track record in delivering DevOps solutions within government projects. You will work remotely for most of the time, with occasional travel to our Newcastle office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and deploy infrastructure using Helm and Kubernetes.
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support agile development workflows.
- Utilize Docker for containerization and deployment of scalable applications.
- Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to enhance system reliability and performance.
- Implement best practices for infrastructure as code and automated deployment.
- Ensure adherence to government regulations, policies, and security standards.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
- Hands-on experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and container orchestration tools.
- Proven experience in a government or public sector environment, with an understanding of security and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally to Newcastle for on-site meetings and work.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Certification in Kubernetes or related DevOps technologies.
- Knowledge of modern monitoring and logging tools.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
