The client, a well-established software house in Newcastle, is looking to hire an Embedded Software Engineer to join their development team.
The role involves new product development and ongoing enhancements of existing products, requiring in-office work five days a week in North Tyneside.
Candidates should have experience in C coding, debugging, and development in either Windows or Linux environments, with a focus on ST ARM processors.
The position offers a competitive salary of up to £50,000 along with benefits.
A relevant IT-related degree and prior experience in embedded systems are required for this role.

The CompanyThe client, a well-established software house based in Newcastle, are looking to hire an Embedded Software engineer to join the business and their existing development team. The work will include both new product development and also continued development for existing products. You will be required to work from the office, in North Tyneside, 5 days per week.The RoleYou'll be hands on developing solutions at a system level. Using C in a Linux environment with exposure to ARM processors the role is part of a small team of engineers developing low level solutions, covering embedded, firmware and hardware development. The role will include:

Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment
Design, develop, code, test and debug system software
Review code and design
Analyse and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources
Integrate and validate new product designs
Support software QA and optimize I/O performance
Provide post production support
Interface with hardware design and development

The PersonThe ideal candidate will have experience with:

Coding in C - language
Debugging
Windows or Linux development
Experience with ST ARM processors
Will hold an IT related degree
