About the Role

In this role, you will contribute to the design, build, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure using the latest technologies. Responsibilities include ensuring that IT platforms are secure, reliable, properly backed up, and consistently available. Additionally, you will handle the technical delivery of projects and solutions while also performing 3rd-level infrastructure support as needed.As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be part of the Global Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) team within the IT Department. This team is dedicated to delivering stable, efficient, and compliant IT services while prioritizing simplicity and agility in all activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day BAU (Business-As-Usual) support for the organization's physical, virtual, and cloud-based IT platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT/OT teams to coordinate and integrate IT infrastructure effectively.
  • Develop, follow, and implement technical roadmaps for IT initiatives.
  • Perform tasks related to availability, capacity, and continuity management.
  • Implement and adhere to IT security best practices.
  • Execute technical activities (design, build, testing) for complex IT and business projects.
  • Fulfil additional service deliverables as required to meet evolving business needs.
  • Monitor and maintain the IT platform to ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilize the established service management tool (e.g., ServiceNow) to record, update, and manage incidents.
  • Propose service improvements in processes and technologies to align with business objectives.
  • Conduct platform patching and vulnerability management.
Qualifications and Experience

Required Experience

  • Proven experience in leading platform design, configuration, and implementation projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft-based server operating systems.
  • Advanced expertise in Citrix administration, including F5 load balancing.
  • Strong understanding of VMware technologies.
  • Proficiency in open-source technologies, particularly Red Hat.
  • Experience with Azure and Amazon cloud technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of Active Directory management and design, including Azure AD.
  • Proficient in backup technologies and storage arrays.
  • Familiarity with hyper-converged infrastructure is advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of MS SQL infrastructure is advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and remote access tools.
  • Expertise in terminal server tools and configuration.
  • Knowledge of enterprise firewall solutions and their implications.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL practices with awareness of ISO20000 and ISO27000 standards.
  • Experience in the life sciences sector is a plus.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field with 7 years of relevant experience.
  • High School Diploma in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field with 9 years of relevant experience.
