Senior Software Engineer - £60K - £65K DOE – Newcastle
I am looking for skilled Senior / Lead Software Engineers to come and join a leading UK-based Consultancy. You will join their Newcastle office as a Senior or Lead Software Engineer where you will collaborate with some of the world’s biggest enterprises.
As a Senior / Lead Software Engineer you will solve complex technical challenges, by providing a pragmatic approach to software development and delivering cutting edge technological solutions to transform the speed, scale and agility of organisations.
This consultancy has around 15 years of industry success, they now employ over 250 people and this year they are forecast for exceptional growth. Not only that, they offer clearly outlined progression opportunities for everyone joining them – giving you the chance to move in to Architect roles, Lead positions and so on.
The successful Senior / Lead Software Engineer will need to have a real passion for software engineering. You will be responsible for the development of large-scale, bespoke, business-critical systems.

We are looking for Software Engineers to have a proven track record with languages such as; Java, Angular / REACT and a willingness to use a wide range of modern technologies depending on the requirements of each project.
To be eligible you will need to have
- Sound knowledge of software engineering principles / practices.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience
- Experience in any of the following Java, Angular / REACT.
- OO Design Principles & Patters
- Agile Development Methods
- Knowledge of building scalable server-side applications on the JVM, eg. REST, Spring, SQL/NoSQL, microservices, concurrency and messaging paradigms
- HTML5 development and JavaScript
- Exposure to the full software development lifecycle
- Consultancy experience would be desirable but not essential.
